BDO Canada is a proud member of the community, supporting important organizations like Central Alberta Youth Unlimited and the Boys & Girls Club. This year we want to maintain our commitment by hosting the BDO Run for Youth. The June run will be a continuation of the Lacombe Half Marathon, but on an exciting new course along the trail system between Lacombe and Blackfalds. We want hope and wholeness for all youth, and that’s why all proceeds from this event will go to Central Alberta Youth Unlimited and the Boys & Girls Club.

Young people today are facing a huge range of issues, including ones related to debt, self-worth, abusive relationships, addictions, pregnancy, eating disorders, cutting, broken homes and performance pressure.

It’s our job to come alongside them and show them that they count, that they are special and that they can make a difference in the world. It’s simple, relationships are key to our lives. Imagine life without anyone to care & have concern for you.

As youth specialists we attempt to build high quality, trusting relationships with young people. We walk through the difficult times in life, or sometimes we’re there just to listen to those normal teen pressures. The needs are evident in our youth culture. That’s why we are here, to bring hope to the hopeless and love to the unloved.

We hope to make the difference, one life at a time.
